Preparation | Myristil nicotinate is prepared as follows: In a nitrogen atmosphere, nicotinyl chloride is mixed with triethylamine (TEA), dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP) and different alkanols such as myristiol. The obtained myristiol nicotinate was synthesized by silica gel column chromatography, and for further purification, it was converted into HCl salt using a standard method. The purity was confirmed by thin-layer chromatography and 1H-NMR. |
